Verantis Awarded Several Acid Gas Scrubber Systems from a World Leader in Semiconductor Chip Manufacturing
“Dedicated to a cleaner Global Environment in the
wake of an exponential increase in the use of digital products”
The first project, in excess of $6M and located in the Middle East, spans two separate mods scheduled for 2022. This project will ultimately produce thirteen scrubbers utilizing multiple configurations and twenty-six pumps. The second project, in excess of $5.5M and located in the US, spans two separate mods scheduled in 2022 and 2023. Included in the project is twelve scrubbers of two separate designs and twenty-four pumps. Both projects will also include field service support, including installation and start-up assistance.
A by-product of microchip production is the emission of residual acid gases. If not captured, these gasses could negatively impact our environment, causing a plume or haze in areas of large fabrication plants and a change in the pH of local waterways and vegetation. Employing Verantis’ scrubber systems, the customer will successfully meet and even exceed all their mandated environmental regulations.
With a near century of successes, Verantis carries a solid reputation of performance, reliability, and service, giving peace of mind to its customer base. “In a year faced with many new obstacles, these projects exhibit our ability to consistently leverage our diverse, and dependable, global supply chain while bringing the environmental, design, and project management expertise to put it all together.” (Terry Powell, Dir. of Application Engineering)
